Well, first of all, what Nationality are you, and which country are you from.
In order to give a more accurate answer, you should be more specific, due to many laws and accords between countries.
But if it is general question, just pick up a phone or go to a Swiss consulat or embassy in your town.

Switzerland is really hard to actually migrate to.
First determine what city you want to live in. I live in Basel which has alot of english speaking people. You could start applying to Novartis. Maybe you can find something in your field there.(they have alot of english jobs)
To get a Visa, you need to either study at one of the universities, have a job offer that the company can say there is no one else qualified in Switzerland to do, or retire there and be rich off your butt.
Basel is really close to the German boarder, so if you want to live in Switzerland. You could much easier get your German Visa and then just get a place right outside... there is a german town that people consider a suberb of Basel, Switzerland. Because everyone who lives there works and shops in Basel.
Also if French is more your language, Geneva is right on the France boarder too.
First you need to get a job there though, if your not planning on marrying in, or studying there. I would suggest pick a city. And learn what the main english jobs are there, keep applying and take language courses in their native language. |

I don't know, I just married a Swiss guy and it was a piece of cake. Having a banking, insurance, or pharmaceuticals background might help too. |
