You can also fly from Nice to Geneva for approx. 80 Euros. It's only and hour flight and you can book it here now:

You can book tickets 90 days in advance, no more than that, from the French national railway website http://www.voyages-sncf.com The website is only in French, just enter your travel details on the left hand side of page and you'll get an idea of prices and times. It's a 7 hour trip with a change of trains at either Valence or Marseille and a 2nd class ticket will cost around 80euros.

However, you can always book through any travel agent, RailEurope or Railplus.
