Go to the nearest Rail Tour Europe office and ask them what Swiss Rail Pass deals they have. They have Halb Abo --half fare deals on many excursions if you have a Swiss Rail Tour Discount card. It is worth purchasing one. Many travel agents can get the round-trip rail excursion deals, they are pretty good. the trains have different categories: you can get a coach where you can shower and sleep and the food on the trains is excellent.

The cheapest way is by train. You can get all the information at http://www.sbb.ch/en/index.htm
Just type in your destinations. I tried your destinations and came up with
CHF 20.80, return, 2nd class
I was just in Switzerland about 2 weeks ago.

By train. Get a Swiss railpass. You will surely save a lot if you plan your schedule properly. You can also get on certain specially scenic routes that are marketed as such. In Switzerland, rail travel is at its best.

best way to travel in switzerland is the train. depending on your status you can get very good deals. ask at the cornavin rail station information for that.

well, i think by car is the best. all you need to do is buy a sticker (that you will stick on on the window of your car) that's valid for 1 year and allows you to travel anywhere in switzerland for free. this sticker costs about 40 swiss francs.
