I want to go to a nice city that has nice people and will speak English. I heard it is beautiful there. What time of the year do you recommend going?...
traditional hiking season is in summer and autumn. best time to avoid crowds is spring, but be aware it can be pretty cold and in the higher regions it can also have lots of snow.

I did a hut hike there a long time ago and the huts were definitely busy. It was during the summer and if you go, definitely be prepared for rain, since it can rain any time. (Or snow in the winter.)

Yes, and it was great fun. They were lots of people.
I'm not sure about the best time of the year, but be aware that not all "huts" are open all year long.
Here is a link for info on the huts, however it is available in French, German and Italian only (since English is not an official language in Switzerland).

Edit: Sorry, what I meant to say is that there is not a hut keeper all year round... most hut would be open all year round.
