I am looking for self catering log cabin holidays in the snow any where in april 2007 for 4 adults and 1 child
i would like information on log cabins set in a snow setting for 4 adults and one child. i want the typical picture post card for my grandson to be able to play in the snow as well as the adults to be able to chill out and have a drink or two and something to eat. close to a village or shops etc. but secluded enough to be on our own when we want to. we dont want to drive when there but still need to get around by foot and public transport or taxis
Well, in April you will need to go over 1500m at least to find decent snow - that's if it's a good winter. There are many chalets available in the Swiss Alps at that time of year - try www.interhome.com
We will probably be renting our chalet while we're away for Easter, but we cannot guarantee the weather conditions this far ahead at 1300m, and it is about half hr walk to the nearest shops/restaurants/thermal baths and ski slopes. (by car 5 mins)
