I would say budget about 1000 per week, that cost should cover spending money for gifts, keep sakes, food, travel (train or easy jet) and any other day to day needs that may come up. Not sure if you ever traveled over seas before, but make sure if you take your ATM card that it has only a 4 digit pin and that pin does not start with 0. Also make sure to get the international number for your bank's customer service just in case something goes wrong and you lose your Card. Hope that helps. |

Lots of it, it's an expensive country. It still depends on what you are planning to do while there. |

How am I supposed to answer this? Are you staying for 3 days or 3 months? Plan on spending twice as much as you would for anything in America. Many places don't take credit cards, either, but if you have a visa check card, you will be able to use the ATM's there to withdraw from US bank accounts. |

depends on what city your going to...go to zurich i would say bout 200 per day (CHF). go to st. moritz id say bout 700 per day (well it always depends on if u want to go in the boutiques or just normal stores...) well any way....it really just is up to how much u can watch urself and your money... nice vacation.. |

What is "how much it costs" and what is "pocket money"?
A day of skiing (lift ticket) would be about 50CHF.
A coffee or beer is about 4CHF.
Museum entrance around 12CHF but free if you have the Swiss Pass.
Postcards around 1CHF and to mail them overseas 1.40. (Or ask at the post office for special postcard-only stamps, they're cheaper.) |

depends on how much you plan on spending and how long you are staying. i usually figure a couple of hundred per week. if you use a credit card, you won't have to worry about keeping up with traveler's checks (which are insured against loss or theft), but if you like the idea of a budget use the traveler's checks. it does cost a good bit of money to change them once you are there. my advice would be to go with a budget, stick with it, and plan on using your credit card to prevent paying fees. (NOT your debit card!!! too easy to have it fraudulently used.) |
