The United Kingdom is not party of the Schengen Agreement by which 25 countries in continental Europe have opened-up their internal borders.

A UK residence permit does not waive the tourist visa requirement for Switzerland which is solely based upon your citizenship.

If you should not hold a passport of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR), Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Macao (SAR), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, USA, Uruguay, Vatican City, and Venezuela you will need a visa for visiting Switzerland.
