I need a hotel in Geneva, Switzerland!!!!!?
I am planning a trip to Europe but I can't find any hotels in Geneva that are affordable and in a nice part of town. PLEASE HELP.
Go across the border into France to the Ibis Hotel. It will run you about $70 USD for a double including breakfast. It is easy to find and quite nice. Or, check out the Accor hotels website and check the Etap level hotels - they are cheap and perfectly fine. Geneva may also have Formula 1s (which are from the same chain) which are also fine if you are on a budget. www.etap.com
I lived in Switzerland for three years and stayed at all levels of Accor hotels - they are the best deal in Europe by far!

The village near the airport where the Ibis and several other hotels are is called Ferney. There is a bus that goes from there into Geneva I think its number 13. The trip is about 20-30 minutes each way not too bad if you consider the saving you make on the hotels. Look at this site, its a German site (but in English) they have a huge selection of hotels in Geneva. The rates are according to hotel stars..

Don't try finding cheap & nice things in Switzerland. Try finding some hotel close to Geneve. The Swisstrain system is fantastic so no problem getting to the town

Hi Meghan,
Unfortunately we don't have your travel dates as rates can vary greatly from one period to the next and from one hotel to the next one. I am not sure how much you are willing to spend but as I know the Geneva hotels rather well, I can tell you that it will be very tough to find a nice central hotel for under 80-100 USD and that's if you are lucky enough to arrive when its not to busy.
I did check some of my sources quickly and I imagine that you would like to stay near Lac Leman and nearby either the Hilton or train station area or on the opposite side of the water.
I found some hotels in the areas i mentioned above with the following hotel reservation site http://www.hrs.com which is very popular with European business travelers. I checked for a random date later this month and I found the following centrally located hotels for afforfable rates:
1 - Hotel Cristal 3* - 89 USD per night
2 - Bernina Swiss Q Hotel 2*- 99 USD per night
3 - Nash ville 4* - 99 USD per night
4 -Nash Rex 4* 99 USD per night
5- Carbavin 4* 106 USd per night
I hope I have helped you in any way with the information above
