My best friend is Swiss. I am Bavarian (so both are descendants of Alpine people). Most of all the things we ever talked about are pretty the same.
There are only some things where she starts laughing about the Germans: it's sausages (she says Germans are crazy about their sausages, it's true) and Cat stairs on the balconys (Germans don't have those and she couldn't believe that at first) and fitted kitchens and installed equipments in flats that stay in one flat (Germans tend to buy and built in their own. Swiss people obviously consider this nonsense.)
But aside from those differences Swiss like Germans.

There are no sociological differences we found out about. For almost three years now. There are differences in the politics of our countries. But the ways our national communities work are the same. And the same goes for hierarchy structures in the Swiss and German society. I can't tell you anything different. This is what we found out.
