these are the main things that you should visit on your trip.

The Collégiale church
Next to the Château, on the spacious square, you will find the Collégiale church (open daily 8am–6pm).

Vauseyon Gorge
The vauseyon gorge is reached by taking the number 1 tram to Vauseyon and following the brown signs. From the road the gorge cannot be seen, but take my word for it that the effort will be worth while.

The Château

The Musée d’Art et d’Histoire
Tues–Sun 10am–5pm, Thurs until 9pm; CHF7, free on Wed but only 1pm – 5pm).

Walk the Old Town

Esplanade du Mont Blanc

The statue of justice

The Harbour

Diesse Tower

The Greifenbrunnen (Griffon Fountain)

Corbets Passage
Midway between Market Crossing and Maison des Halles (Covered Market), do not miss CORBETS PASSAGE, a kind of Neuchatel closed passage with a splendid spiral staircase (Renaissance style), newly renovated with great discernment.

Have a wonderful trip!!!!!!!

The Main Man at Yahoo
Oh such a lovely place.
Go to the castle ruins, the candy factory,on the lake walk, sit at Hotel Toring and have a drink at the port. go to the market in the center of town,go to la Chex du Fonds to Clock factory and music box museum. Go to Cressier to the Wine cave and Vinyards. Go visit Colombier next to NE. Visit the spa at Yverdon. many nice little villages and towns to visit next dor. There a tram that will take you there. if youare there in the fall do the wine festival. The biggest in Switzerland. Visit the Circ du travier. It is the late night restraunt.

"Went to the train information office and a fine young man gave us a map of the city. It was Saturday, so market day was in full force when we arrived at Place des Halles. This is French Switzerland and mostly French was spoken all around us. People all knew each other - market-day greetings and conversation. The market place, side streets and cafes were busy and lively - a terrific time to visit. Walked up high to the Collegiate Church with its ramparts and cloister and views of the city down to the lake."
