Is Belgium a Confederation? Is Switzerland a Confederation?

Also, can you give me a list of all confederations. Thanks!

Switzerland is a Confederation - the official name of Switzerland is Confoederatio Helvetica hence the "CH" bumper stickers you see on some Swiss Cars. On the other hand, Belgium is not a Confederation: as a matter of fact Belgium is a Constitutional Monarchy (there is a King but he is virtually powerless) - apart from the Iroquois Confederacy in the USA (which is not really a country) there are not any there Confederations that I could find out about.

Switzerland is a confederacy. Its official name is Confoederatio Helvetica (hence the country code CH)

Switzerland...official name, CONFEDERACIÓN HELVÉTICA, is a confederation (of cantons, just fyi).

I don't know any others. maybe if you searched "confederations" you might find something...Might have to wade through some junk to get what you are looking for, though.

belgium and switzerland are confederations, the USA is also a confederation.
by that it means it is a federation of various states. isn't the central bank called the federal reserve, and all government organizations start with Federal, like FDA, FCC, FBI, therefore, the USA are also a confederation.
