Is Bern a good city in Switzerland to visit?
I wanted to visit the city where my ancestors lived, but I can't speak their language. Only English. Is there a way to have an interpreter or something so I can visit other cities in Switzerland?
Bern is an amazing city, my favourite in Switzerland!! The old town is beautiful, the zoo is interesting, and the bear pit is unique, although sad. Its easy to get around in English. Theres a good travel information centre at the train station where they're happy to help.

You really don't need a translator, the people in Bern and other cities know English very well. It's fine if you ask someone if they speak english. I can bet you that they speak English, even the trains speak english. Have fun!

Yes, with 130,000 population and their old town buildings are under UNESCO, it is really worth to visit.
No need, english will do.

You don't need an interpretor...Swiss people speak fluent and clear English....its nothing as such that they only speak Italian,German,French or Romansh...
