It's only hot in the Summer, but even then it's not always really hot. In July 2007 I was there and it was rainy, windy, and about 45-50 degrees F! It lasted for the whole month just about! Other than that experience however, it's generally sunny, beautiful, and in the mid/high 70's to even high 80's sometimes in areas in the South.
The sun shines year round, not just in the summer. I'm in Switzerland right now and it's very sunny, but very cold! Countries where the sun only shines in the summer months are places like Sweden, Norway, and countries high up north like that. It's not that the sun NEVER shines in other months, but generally it's darker and gloomy. |

yes,it's only hot in summer. but it can also get pretty warm in spring and until the end of september. and no, the sun doesn't only shine in summer. I live in the Northern part of Switzerland and we have a sunny climate. also in the south, they have a lot of sunshine too.
not every part of switzerland is cold in winter. of course it can get freezing in the mountains during winter but in the lower parts of the country it's as cold as everywhere else in europe. |
