Is it true what they say about the swiss people?

That it is hard to make friends with the swiss

All of the above are true but it is not impossible. I have lots of Swiss friends, many of them Swiss German. The Swiss tend to be standoffish towards foreigners because more and more are coming here and taking away (and sometimes destroying) their little peaceful island in the world. But they don't hate foreigners. Also, if you are from the US, Canada, Western Europe or Australia/NewZealand, it's easier to be accepted. However, if you come here and try to keep life the way it is at home, or if you don't try to learn the language, you'll have a harder time making friends. But there ARE lots of Swiss who are interested in the world beyond their borders and who would like to meet foreigners.

Yes because they are hard to find.

no. they just aren't very personal at first and they respect ones personal space. breaking the ice with humor can be considered offensive at times because they might not understand. they're nice though.

Kelly
No, but I have met one swiss woman that was rude.

Jenny Smith
Switzerland has many ethnic groups. I suppose the German part can seem standoffish but the Italians are nice

Alexis
no
