Is New York in the middle of Sahara desert?

Switzerland is straight north of Italy, east of France, South of Germany, and west of Austria. It is in the heart of the Alps. The UK is the isle of Britain(containing Wales, England, and Scotland) and Northern Ireland. N. Ireland split from Ireland as a place for Protestants, and Ireland is for the Catholics.

See website below for map of Europe so you can get a picture of the location of the U.K. ( off the coast of mainland Europe) and Switzerland ( just north of Italy.)

Well, it's embassy would be considered Swiss soil..
Last I heard they were not part of the EEC but rather belonged to EFTA (European Free Trade Association) with Austria, Finland and Sweden.
To any Swiss here, does this still hold true and are Euro Dollars used along with Swiss Francs?
I so miss the beauty of Switzerland, never seen anything to match it on earth.

Switzerland is in Central Europe. It has no sea coast and it is in the middle of the Alps, the highest mountain chain in Europe. The UK is on the British Islands and it is surrounded by the sea. There are no high elevations.
Switzerland has four language regions: French, German, Italian and Romantsch (spoken by some 30.000 people). The inhabitants of the UK speak English.
Switzerland has the Swiss Franc as currency. The UK has the Pound as currency. Both are very strong and solid.

Looking at this map might help you to locate it:
