Hello,
I'm Swiss, now living in the United States. I visit family there at least 3 times a year. Switzerland is truly a beautiful place, especially in summer. There is so much to do there! The location of it is amazing. It is in the middle of Europe. France is a few hours away, Germany isn't far at all, and Italy takes a nice train ride to get to. The lakes are nice, the cities are wonderful, it is a great experience to go there. I hope you enjoy it! (if you decide to go) I would recommend Geneva (very nice lake, close to France), Locarno (southern Switzerland near the border of Italy), and Zurich, a very nice city. About 40% of Swiss know basic English so don't worry about the language. If you know a little German/French/Italian you'll do just fine.

Dude its the Paradise on the face of earth. Trust me i have been to swiss for my education n stayed there for 8 months n Switzerland is the best place to be there. Well if your going to swiss than note these places to visit for sure
1 Interlaken OST- Cheap hotels & food available. As when u reach Interlaken u can go to "Jungfrou" it is the place u should visit one time life opportunity u can say n dont miss it
2) Montroux an amazing evening with sun dawn u can spend wit ur love lady 3) Lausanne 4)Geneva Cruise ride- well its seasonal i guess but try going on it as with the cruise in geneva lake u can just go wow with a glass of wine n some exotic swiss Cuisine its as cheap as 50 CHF (Rs. 1900) per head but u will love it. switzerland is well known and proud of its efficient network of public transport. even without a car you can reach most places by train, bus or boat. hotels are clean and food is good. unfortunately the whole feel good package comes to a certain price, its pretty expensive though.
places not to miss: berner altstadt (unesco world heritage) and a swimm in the river aare on a hot summer day (ask locals for directions), wine yards in laveaue (lake geneva), jungfraujoch, geneva, zurich, basel and lugano. and maybe my favourit, view from chasseral over the lower lands towards the alps.

unless you want to treat yourself and your husband with a bath in delicious Swiss chocolate!!!

Switzerland is as beautiful as anywhere on earth, but it is bad for honeymoons because the beds in the hotel rooms are two beds beside each other (two separate mattresses) rather than one large bed.

I don't know - it depends on what you and your future wife like.
Perhaps it's attractive for you to experience a totally different environment - so if living in Miami or a major city, Switzerland would be a lovely change. If living in the mountains, you'd rather choose a beach...?

Switzerland is beautiful in the summer. It is expensive but there are deals to be found. Zurich is a great city and centrally located in Europe. Day trips are possible to many other locations. We flew in to Munich, Germany and rented a car and drove to Zurich. On the way there we stopped at Neuschwanstein, a Bavarian castle in the Alps. Beautiful.
Some hotels have beds which are twins pushed together but some have standard or queen beds. You'll need to check. Either way, it's exciting and adventurous.
