Is the Golden Pass Line the best and most scenic way to travel from Lucerne to Interlaken?
Is the Golden Pass Line worth it?
What's the roundtrip price usually for this?
What are better ways to go and still admire the scenery?
The best and most scenic way to travel from Lucerne to Interlaken is a train ticket (preferably 1. Class, possible that the train has a panorama wagon). You don't need the pass just for this 1 1/2 h trip.
If you go to the Interlaken area be sure to go on the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. The tickets are expensive (always an extra even if you have a special pass) but it's definitely worth it if the weather is fine. I'm Swiss and I can tell you that this is one of the most remarkable things you can do in Switzerland.
The Golden Pass Line is lovely, although Lucerne to Interlaken isn't the best bit IMHO.
You can also take the train just to Brienz and then a boat on the beautiful Brienzersee (not in winter).
