What is your profession? That is not a very good salary for Switzerland in general. Zurich and Geneva are especially expensive. You will need at least CHF 1,500 for the rent to live ok, food and transport are very expensive there as well. What I mean is, you can live with about CHF 4.5k a month, but you won't be able to travel around Europe, or go a lot out to dinner or nightclubs. |

First of all, Zurich is a very expensive city....
CHF 60,000 is very low for this city.
Usually, people in Switzerland have a so called 13th month salary. That means that your monthly salary will be CHF 4,615 a month. This is the salary of the lower middle class here... Or: the salary of a young unexperienced secretary... |

That's $58,500 annually.
You'll be able to eat out occasionally and drive a three year old car.

I think bixlives... is right. 60,000 of Switzerland money is very good for me though. |
