Planning a Weekend trip to Switzerland?
I am currently in Cologne Germany andI am planning a weekend trip this weekend or the next. I am looking for suggestions adout switzerland or germany and or possibly Paris. Which would would you suggest and do you have any particular towns that you enjot the best? Restaurants or hotels?
Pretty hard to suggest something for you, as you have 3 places in mind. Paris, something in Germany or Switzerland.
I'm German currently living in Zurich Switzerland and have traveled a bit around Europe.
The major question is, what do you want.
If you want to see the magic Christmas decorations and sights all around this time in Germany, you might want to decide and go to Nuernberg. If you want a lot of culture and something different along the way to be seen, than your choice should be Paris. It will give you something different to look at.
Switzerland is hard to recommend at this time of the year, as there is not enough snow out yet to make the citys look like a winter dream nor can you expect nice and sunny weather. Zurich is quite overcasted at this time of the year and looking out of the window do I see some snow falling, which though will not stay long.
If you really want Switzerland, then I would recommend to go up to Zernmatt and see the mountains.
