Small gift idea for friend in Switzerland? |
She's 15 and lives in Switzerland, and England (don't ask, it's terribly confusing :D). I'm in the US and I want to send her something small, not really expensive, and something special from here that they don't have there. I can't find any sites that show what products that the US has that Switzerland doesn't. It will need to fit into a flat rate Priority Mail envelope.
Any small gift ideas are welcome along with websites!
easy 10 pts! Additional Details helllllllllllllllppppppppppppppppp |

Send her an original Obama campaign T-Shirt.
I can tell you that if it's an original her friends will be jealous as hell. Around 90% of our population was supporting Obama. Literally all young people were for Obama. So, it's impossible to make a mistake.
Personally, I'd love to have such a T-Shirt. |

most girls appreciate jewellery ... I doubt very much if there's anything you could buy in the US that we don't have in the UK or Switzerland ... so I'd go for a nice pendant, necklace, bracelet or ring ... it will remind her of you |

Well, this is going to sound cheesy, but what about something you make?
I'm really at a loss here!!! I always give the 'best' presents at parties, but you've got me stumped!
Or, since she's 15, you could get her a shirt or something else "small" from a popular teenager store here in the U.S., like American Eagle, Pink or Forever 21. Nothing's cooler than international clothes. :)
Also, go to your local mall. When I visited St. Louis I was able to buy a small Arch pin, since I collect them, and they also had Beanie Babies with the state name on them and stuff like that. If your mall doesn't have someplace like that, you can go to a nice hotel's gift shop, they usually have state-unique items. (And then, of course, there's always the airport. :-)
When my friend came back from Rome, she brought us all scarfs she found in a little shop. The Roman shop owner was the one who made the scarves. You could get her something you find in a boutique or street market.
I really hope I helped. I hope she loves what you decide to send her! |

Something small and not really expensive? A button badge/pin! I have a friend in Germany and every special occasion I send her pins I find around the web and then mail them to her. They're small, cost around 1 dollar each (or even less) and are personal because you can match the design to their liking/personal preferences!
A good place for button pins would be http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5961678&page=1§ion_id=&order=
I think the cassette one would be great, but that's just me. |

You get something, like this cute bear: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=19074773
and then get the seller to mail it over to Switzerland. She'll love it! |
