Swiss Chocolate?

I was just reading about the Swiss and how they consume approx 11.6kg per person per year of CHOCOLATE! I mean that is a fair bit, and I'm pretty sure the Swiss aren't known to be overweight? From people that know the Swiss are many overweight?
How do they keep their weight off?
Thank you

ahaha! that's such a cool fact. :D
i live in geneva. there's chocolate here, yes. but there isn't like.. a remarkable amount of overweight people, i wouldn't say. haha. but i guess it's an integrated part of the swiss diet and it doesn't make them fat? i don't know, it's a really interesting question you're asking. hahaha.
i wonder how much 11 kg of chocolate is per day... hm. :P

x apple.

hahaha, great question!

i'm eating approx 3 to 4 kg per year, so i remain slim. it's like in other countries, also in Switzerland there are overweight people - these are the ones they consume my remaining 7 to 8 kg chocolate ... :D

chocolate does not make people fat.
fast food & junk food do !!!

honeybitch
the swiss go everywhere by bike, they're not fat

Goddess of Grammar
More and more Swiss people are overweight, but I don't think it's from the chocolate. A lot of the chocolate we eat is dark chocolate, not or only a little sweetened, it's mostly not things like Mars Bars.

And I'd like to thank Hahu for sharing her (his?) chocolate allowance. I think I'm above the 11.6...but I've only lived in Switzerland 7 years so I have to catch up. (And yes I could stand to lose a couple kilos.)
