We are spending 4 weeks in Europe for our honeymoon in January and are spending a few nights in Switzerland. We have found a beautiful place to stay in the country which is very close to Lucerne and we would like to find something similar outside Bern. What villages are in the area which are beautiful but still very close to Bern? |

very close to Bern there is not much beautiful. i would go to Spiez, a little village located directly at the lake of Thun only 10km away from Thun and 20km away from Interlaken.

I'm really kean to assist. Still, if you had let us known the name of the place you found near Lucerne, I would have had an idea how far the place outside Berne should be. E.g., I don't consider Gstaad or Interlaken to be "near" Berne (they are actually 80, resp. 60 kms away).
So, please give us the name of the place near Lucerne or tell us what you consider "near" and we would only be too happy to assist.
