Zermatt should top the list. Breathtaking scenery all around. No cars. After that try one of the cities on a lake. Lugano and Interlaken are nice smaller cities. Lucerne and Geneva are delightful larger cities. Montreux is another good choice.

I did a cycling tour last spring. We started in Airolo and went through the whole Ticino down to Locarno. It's flat or goes downwards almost all the time and you can also visit the castle in Bellinzona along the way. Ticino is a southern region in Switzerland where people speak Italian. It's very sunny and warm most of the times but it's also very impressive with the high mountains and narrow valleys and the Lago Maggiore in Locarno is very beautiful.
Also you should visit Zurich. It's the biggest city in Switzerland and I've visited many cities in Europe, but Zurich is still my favourite. I go to school there and know it pretty well. It's very beautiful with its lake and the Bahnhofstrasse is always worth a visit.

hope this helps:)

Selschen
-Unterseen (near Interlaken)
-Lugano
