Travel within switzerland- Diff between 1st and 2nd class on their travel system?
Am planning to go to swiss for 8 days and want to buy swiss travel pass. Would like to now :
i) Diff between 1st class and 2 nd class
ii) Is it worth buying online or just go there and buy at airport?

the price difference between 1st class n 2nd class is working out pretty much the same...only 30 sterlings extra.
The main difference between 1st and 2nd classes on most trains is that 2nd class gets crowded on some routes, and 1st class usually doesn't. On some of the specialty routes (Golden Pass I think is one) and some of the boats (also included in the pass), the first class is really classier. But if the price is so similar, might as well go for first. The first class seats are also slightly roomier and more comfortable, but second class are pretty good too.

1st class train can be around 50% more expensive.
the trains are clean and prompt, 2nd class is good enough in my opinion.
