6 days in Switzerland? Forget the "cities", go for the mountains. I like Graubunden myself, but anything's lovely.

I would make my plane stop at Geneva with a large lake. Then take a train to Neuchatel, a nice little town. After that you can go to Bern and enjoy the many landmarks such as the Munster, Barengraben, and the Zietglogge. Then take a train to Lucerne. Last take a train to Zurich and then go home there. If you look at a map you can see I connected it together to fit perfectly. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/images/time/europe/switzerland.jpg&imgrefurl=http://wwp.san-jose-california-usa.com/time-zone/europe/switzerland/map.htm&h=328&w=418&sz=45&hl=en&start=2&um=1&tbnid=oWZJUv_CDqkYXM:&tbnh=98&tbnw=125&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dswitzerland%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

Hi, you have 6 days in Switzerland So I can suggest you 2 itineraries:
a) 1st day in Zurich then 2nd day go to Engelberg from there Lucerne enjoy a train ride to Brienz, Montreux. on 5th day go to Geneva

or you can go to:Zurich. Lucerne, Interlaken, Geneva

Here is a link where you can various itineraries helpful for you in making your tour:

Hi, Im currently living in Zurich (only been here 6 weeks -but seen a bit of it so far) and thought i'd recommend my favourites. Zurich is ok, when the sun is out the lake is beautiful, i probably wouldn't spend more than a day there - but if you fly in to zurich its a nice starting point. Then, as suggested earlier I would recommend going to Engelberg and up Mount Titlis. Titlis is covered in snow all year round, you can see amazing views (10,000ft) on a sunny day, you can also go snow-tubing for free. This takes about 2 hours from Zurich train station to engelberg and 45minutes up the mountain. My next suggestion would be to stop overnight in Lucerne on the way from titlis (or Engelberg - i stayed for 2 nights here and it was picture perfect - even snowed overnight so the little village was covered in snow). Lucerne is beautiful, on a sunny day you can enjoy the lake, snow-capped mountains in the distance, there are also several mountains to go up with hiking, tree-top rope park, toboggan run etc. The classic trip from Lucerne is the 'golden round trip' you catch a steam boat from lucerne to alpnachstad, then go up Mt Pilatus in the worlds oldest cogwheel train, great views from the top, over 4 lakes, mountain ranges, then go down in the cable car and back to lucerne on post bus. The next trips on my list are to Interlaken, as a base to going up Jungfraujoch, and Schlithorn. If you have the possibility to fly back from another city (e.g. arrive zurich, depart from Geneva - easyjet/british airways/swiss air are all reasonably cheap to the UK), then I would suggest finishing your trip with a day or 2 in Geneva.

Tip- if you are using the trains a lot, i would suggest looking into a swiss rail-pass (google discover switzerland, or www.sbb.ch/en for info) - buying a 1 month halb-tax card (need a photo, 50% off) may work out cheaper in the end, as full price fares can be quite pricey.
