What are some American TV shows that are broadcasted in Switzerland?

G. Sol
The commenters above are talking about American TV shows that are broadcast in Switzerland but translated into local languages.

If you are interested in American TV shows that are not translated and you get normal Swiss Cable TV (cable com) some English channels are broadcast with the normal package and there are several American TV shows there, in English and not delayed. For example:

Several American Programs appeared regularly on ITV, for example, american Idol...was delayed a couple of days. I think it would play on Wednesday in the US and Friday in Switzerland.

Heros, Jay Leno, etc.

There is also CNN, CNBC, Fashion TV, etc.

You can see a complete list of the English language programs available on the basic package below.

The more successfull ones are all broadcastet over here. But they normally are delayed some month because of the synchronizing.

e.g.

- Prison break
- Moonlight
- CSI Miami, NY, LV, etc.
- Weeds
- Sopranos
- Desperate Houswifes
- etc.

It depends on the area you are in. In Zurich, I watched MTV before and they play The Real World, but they are older seasons. Some other stations play American shows also, but again they are older shows because they are cheaper to get the rights to. They aren't in Engligh either, they are changed to Swiss German or French. Some of those shows are Murder She Wrote, The Golden Girls, The Nanny, etc.
