Goddess of Grammar
Switzerland--Bern, in English usually spelt Berne.

Barista has an interesting sense of history--Berlin was the capital of Germany from when it became a country until 1945, and remained the capital of East Germany when Germany (and Berlin) was divided. Bonn was only the capital of West Germany while there was a West Germany. And yes, since reunification it's just Berlin.

Barista
For switzerland it was always Bern.
germany's capital was first bonn. but when the west and east got reunited, they voted to change their capital city. since a few years, the capital of germany is Berlin.

Hanno Nym
The capital of Germany is Berlin.
The capital of Switzerland is Bern.
