The official currency is of course the Swiss Franc, but the Euro is also quite widely accepted, and therefore "used". |

Aunt Wiki knows it all! You know what she says? It's the Swiss franc! Its actual exchange rate to the $ is 0.855505.
For pictures of the Swiss coins as well as bank notes, please go here (sorry, the English Wiki-link doesn't respond if I put it here): http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schweizer_Franken
And for those interested in the latest news: In 2010, new Swiss bank notes will appear. See how they look like: http://www.snb.ch/en/iabout/cash/newcash/id/cash_new_result/2
@Goddess of Grammar: And the $, too! Ever been in Sankt Moritz and done your shopping at Coop..? No problem, of course, to do so "with real money", as I heard saying an American :-) |

The official currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF), however, they also will accept payment in Euro. If you pay with Euros just expect to receive your change back in Francs. |
