I'm not Swiss but I've lived in both Geneva and Zurich so that counts right? =)
What I love about Switzerland is how it's so diverse. The stereotypical Swiss landscape is snow and farmers haha, but if you go to Zurich, you have a beautiful, modern, clean city, and if you go to Geneva you find yourself as if you're in France!
Switzerland has a very mixed culture which is great, and even though it's such a small country, it has an extended history.
The Alps are really beautiful all year round, especially the Matterhorn and the Mont Blanc (even though it's not Swiss, you can see it from Geneva^^). The lakes are stunning in Switzerland because they're so crystal clean! The Lac Leman and the Zürisee are amazing. Seeing Swiss people at their most traditional in their Chalets in the Romansch part of the Alps is great because it's so natural and lovely. The transport is AMAZING which I love! :P
I just love Switzerland and I've gotten to know bits of it well, but I still have a lot to discover because it's such a diverse country! xxxx |

- political stability, already for decades
- no riots, except from some stupid football (soccer) and icehockey fans
- low taxes
- an excellent transportation system (railways, busses, ships, cogwheel trains etc.)
- good food (i don't know how foreigners think about, but i haven't heard much bad)
- very clean (years ago i've read a german article that said "it's so clean one can even eat in the toilet", what isn't true for all toilets ;-) )
- clean water that you can drink from the tap and even from public fountains (unless otherwise noted)
- beautiful landscapes
- very clean cities (not like in Italy)
on the other hand Switzerland has one crucial drawback
- all goods and services are horrendously expensive |

People are very honest.
The cities are not too big and mostly on beautiful lakes.
It's multilingual, with four diverse and interesting official languages.
Public transport is on-time and comfortable. |
