Winter: great for skiing/outdoor activities and on sunny days it looks like in fairy tales with the snow covered mountains.
Late Spring: not so nice since the snow melts and no activities.
Summer and autumn: again superb for hiking, picnics etc. They have beautyful lakes all over (sorry, too cold to swim in) and a splendid flora/fauna. Also many deers etc. to be seen.

By the way: also their local specialities are really worth trying like Bündnerfleisch, Gerstensuppe, Pizokerl, cheese and the famous Bündner Nusstorte

If it's a good place to travel depends on your favorite activities, winter sports and hiking are great there - though expensive!
Winter: beautiful, though expensive.
Spring: beautiful, though expensive.
Summer: beautiful, though expensive.
Fall: beautiful, though expensive.
Did I mention everything's quite expensive there?

Madonna is right! Axel who says everything is expensive is not right. The Engadin has the usual Swiss price range - from cheap to expensive. Just open your eyes to even find bargains.
