It depends also a bit what you are up to like sightseeing or more relaxing and where in Switzerland. I think August and early September are great. Not too hot but still nice weather. For wintersports I'd pick mid Feb./March. There you have a good chance of enough snow and cloudless sky's. These days it's so hard to predict the weather anywhere (climat change?). Classical great month's have almost turned vice-versa...

Late spring thru the end of summer.

I think between may and september, if you mean the weather, but if you don´t want to meet crowds of people (specially from Japan and India), september-october.

It really depends on what you want to do and how much money you want to spend. Also where you are coming from. Flights tend to be very expensive, especially from the US, in the summer months.

In winter it's a skiers heaven. But if you don't like the cold you definitely want to go in July or August. Of course May and June are cheaper and the weather can be nice, but less predictable.

If you like to do skiing and see lot of snow in a pictureque scenary go anytime between november to april.

The peak season - the summer - starts from may and runs till end of august or september.

You can pick based on what you want to do there.

summer is better if you like to visit places but mind that weather is a bit unpredictable in cold places like this.

But whichever season you go swiss is goin to rock ......and gorgeous.. but maybe if you go in winter you cant travel in scenic trains like panoroma express or glacier express and view breathtaking views..

What do you want to do? Switzerland is wonderfull in the winter if you like skiing and other winter sports. It is beautiful in the summer if you enjoy hiking and alpine vacations.

Mountains make for changeable weather year round, so you cannot guarantee cloudless skies during any season.

summer in small town in the mountains is the best time or if u like skiing u can go in the winter to st.Moritz .

July.

Summertime. July, August. Any other time of the year it's going to be freezing in those mountains.
