What is the cheapest time of year to visit Switzerland?

The cheapest time to visit is during the fall because the summer season has just ended and tourists have returned to school or work, and the winter season hasn't begun yet. You can find a lot of deals on airfare and hotels from mid September to November. I'd go around September though because the weather is still nice. Switzerland is expensive no matter what time of year however.

The Cheapest time would probably be in the fall, just before ski season. Keep in mind though, that Switzerland is expensive any time of the year!

It really depends where you want to go.
In the cities there isn't a difference in the rates (or not much); so if you are getting to Geneva, Zurich, Lausanne or any other largish city you may just want to check the airlines cheaper rates.
In the ski resorts, summer and winter are the most expensive times, with xmas and february being High Season. So, spring can be cheaper (after Easter and before July), or fall (September to about mid-november). Of course, you will find a lot less to do then! many resorts restaurants, clubs, shops will close and take a few weeks off - and it still will not be very cheap.
