What is the difference between Greater Basel and Basel proper?
I was told that Basel is divided into two parts. Why? Which part is best for tourists?
the river Rhine divides Basel into 2 parts called Gross-Basel (Greater Basel) and Glai-Basel (this is the dialect of Basel :) ) and means Small Basel. both parts are in Switzerland and there are many bridges over the Rhine. The most exciting part is the old part of the town.
