There are really many possibilites, actually...

Surely you should visit the economic centre Zurich with its medieval town parts and the lake as well as the green surroundings. Then it's an experience to travel Switzerland by train - either Berne-Lucerne or Lucerne-St.Gall or the most exclusive "Glacier Express" through the Alps. The scenery in the so-called Bernese Oberland is very amazing, there all the Bollywood filmes are made.

Some mountains are very special, take a choice of Titlis, Rigi, Pilatus, Jungfrau and others where the top may be reached by train or cable car.

Travel by boat on the Rhine from Schaffhausen to Stein am Rhein and visit the old medieval centre with all painted buildings, quite amazing.

Go up Mt. Titless (yes that is its name) and travel through the glaciers. Its wonderful. Go to lake lucerne and rent a speed boat. Lots of fun.

The Main Man at Yahoo
Go toDown town Bern then off to Interlaken.

it's actually called Mt Titlis. it's very nice (cable car rides are like 45min to the top, so you gotta love that), but if you want to see miles and miles of alps, then Jungfrau region is a better choice. i found the Matterhorn (and living in zermatt) to be the most "imposing" of them all, though it may be tough to do with only 5 days (it takes 3-4 hrs on the train to reach zermatt whether you're coming from zurich or geneva). i like Zurich because it's a big city, Thun and the Lake Thun area are great to visit (lots to see, less tourists, more "authentic" experience), Lausanne/Vevey for the french experience, Bern, Luzern is a popular choice (though i'd suggest excursions to Mt Rigi & Pilatus -- and not just entirely in Luzern -- and also Stansstad for the Fortress Furigen museum).
