There are many things but in my opinion the most important is the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The Swiss origin of the Red Cross makes me proud being a citizen of this country.

Mr Who
The Velcro tape is a Swiss invention, George de Mestral was its father.

Knorr and Maggi foods - every Swiss knows that their original factories used to be in Thayngen (Northern most village in Switzerland) and Kemptthal near Zurich.

The Red Cross Organization, founded by Geneva citizen Henry Dunant who was granted the first peace Nobel prize ever.

Wenger pocket knifes (also know as Swiss army knifes - the original model actually is not red but metallic and does even not have a corkscrew).

Tobler, Caillers, Lindt chocolate.

Nestlé, the biggest food producer in the world (not only chocolate).

Emmentaler cheese (named by the river Emme that flows through the valley where the cheese was originally produced).

Cookoo clocks, as some people might say, have nothing to do with Switzerland, they are from the Black Forest/Germany). Some similar clocks are however produced in the Swiss canton of Fribourg (but who knows...).

And another misunderstanding: Cheese Fondue as well as Raclette are NOT Swiss, but French (from the Haute Savoie and the Franche-Comté region, to be precise).

The Alphorn, too, is not of Swiss origin! It's also played in several other European countries. Sorry, chicks ;-)

Edit: The Internet was not invented in Geneva. Interesting to see this statement once and then. What the answerer probably meant is that the first Web browser was developped by an employee of the CERN, Tim Berners-Lee. However, his version did not display web pages with graphics embedded in them. That only happend when NCSA Mosaic 2.0 arrived.

- "Schwizerörgeli" to make typical swiss music
- Alphorn
- "Girolle" (small, handy machine) for a round shaped cheese called Tete de Moine to make the pieces look like a rose
- Zuger Kirschtorte (a lovely cake with Kirsch Schnaps)

I would say watches. Swiss people were and are famous for making high quality watches.

I am not going to name the things that everybody else has been naming. But one thing that not everyone knows about that is originally Swiss is exactly this. You may be asking "What do you mean this?". I mean this. The Internet. It was created in Geneva, Switzerland at CERN.

Feisty
Fondue
Various famous cheeses -- Gruyere for example
Various famous chocolates -- Lindt, Toblerone, etc.
The Alps!
Famous watches -- Rolex at the high end and Swatch at the low end
The SMART car -- designed by Swatch, but now sold by Mercedes
Note: the Swiss Army Knife is made in Monroe, CT, USA.

DoH
Swiss Army knife
High quality clocks - Rolex, coo coo clocks
