What would be a disadvantage of moving to Switzerland from the U.S.?
Also, how could I go about it I don't have a degree or anything? I'd like to maybe start college over there. My family has a couple of contacts in Switzerland and one in Austria who might be able to help out. How difficult is it to become a citizen? Thanks.
If you can get accepted to a university, the rest should be easy. That bit's hard though.
I mean just to get temporary residency...becoming a citizen takes a lot longer and has a lot of requirements. But many many people live happily in Switzerland for years (even generations) without being citizens.

It's very difficult to migrate to Switzerland and become a citizen. Suggest you check the Swiss Embassy's website in your country.
If you're not from a European Union country, and have no unique skills to offer, then you have very little chance of finding work there, let alone getting permanent residency.
