well, it's really either Victorinox or Wenger (which are both owned by Victorinox, by the way). the thing is that they maintain separate catalogues and different models. a lot of the Victorinox knifes tend to look more sleek (particularly the translucent red plastic material), at least in my eye. but this past Christmas, i bought a Wenger in Winterthur; it's the only model with a nail clipper (in addition to scissors, knife, nail file, all in a very portable size roughly equal to a thumbdrive in the traditional red plastic, but in a molded, ergonomic shell), which i really like. not only does the Wenger look great, it's also incredible useful (that one small knife renders an entire grooming kit unnecessary to carry while traveling). ultimately, it depends on the specific model and what you want in a knife. both brands are pretty much equal in quality, imo. |
