The best way is by the S-Bahn, that is the train. It takes about 19 to 22 minutes until the HB (Hauptbahnhof or main station) in Zurich city. I could not get the price for you, but it is about CHF12.00 (twelve Swiss francs) per person, for a ticket valid for 24 hours. It can be used the following day all over Zurich, being valid on buses, trains, ships in the vicinity of the city. There is a cheaper ticket valid for 2 hours, I will have to go to the bus stop to check it.
I tried to check the train for you but after the 13 Dec. the timetable will be different, so check out www.sbb.ch. Hope you understand german.
Otherwise you can mail me and I will get you the exact price tomorrow, and how to read the timetable online. Don't worry though, there are so many trains, at least 4 trains an hour. The main thing though is to get a train which goes directly without you having to change.
From there you can get the tram 13, the ticket would still be valid. By the way, you can get the ticket from the airport as well, and on every station there are automats, where you can check out where you are going, press the number shown there, it says the price, and you can put in your coins. We use swiss francs everywhere, except if shopping or eating, most businesses do accept euros.
Good luck, and enjoy your trip, and don't forget that extra warm coat. |
