You really don't want to drive. |

Your Body can only process 1 unit per hour - FACT - nothing you do can slow or speed this up [not drinking water, coffee, eating as your body can only deal with ONE UNIT per HOUR ]. WKD has about 2.5 - glass of wine is around 3 so if you started at 2 pm byt 6pm your body will have dealt with 3 - 3.5 units so techincally you will be border line. |

I think you are.

Your bottle of WKD contains over three units of alcohol, which will have already put you over the limit. Your large glass of white wine could contain another 3.5 units which will have put you at twice the limit.
An average man will burn off 1 unit per hour but, as you are a woman and petite, you will not metabolise alcohol as quickly. At 6pm you will still be over the legal limit and, more important, your reflexes and judgement will still be impaired.
If you need your car, wait until at least 9pm and don't have anything more to drink. Having a meal will help. If you don't need your car, get a taxi home and pick your car up later. I know it sounds extravagant and over-cautious but it's a lot safer, and cheaper, than being involved in an accident and/or losing your licence. The police are very vigilant at this time of year and they are good at spotting clues to possible drink drivers. |

Yes, I'm afraid you are. Most pub measures of wine are 3 units, add to that your WKD and you are probably nudging 6.
If you are breathalysed, you will be fined or worse.
As a general rule, if you have to ask, you're over the limit.
Walk or get a non-drinker to drive you home.
Merry Christmas |

Yes over the limit. The wine would have put you over without the other drink. Sorry. |

You might be just under the limit, but different people process alcohol at different speeds, so it's better to be safe than sorry.
However, the more important question is surely "am I SAFE to drive?" (do you value your licence more than your - or someone else's - life?), and the evidence is that at even half the drink-drive limit you are NINE times more likely to have an accident. So take a cab. |

I wouldn't risk it. |

you can buy a breathalyser. you should get one and test yourself when you need to. |

Sadly you are over the limit. For a man they reckon a pint of lager is enough, and only half a pint for a woman. One bottle of WKD is much stronger than your average lager, so take a taxi or pass your keys to someone who's been on the lemonades. |

Don't drive. |

Just want to clarify an earlier point - it does take the body 1 hour to "dispose" of one unit of alcohol but this is only after one hour has already passed e.g 2 hours needed to get rid of one unit - 3 hours to get rid of 3 units
And of course you're right to mention your size which makes a difference but also - what you've eaten today - when you last drank etc
Safest way possible is to just not drive after you've had a drink - it's not permitted in many other countries because the calculation is almost impossible to do without taking a breathalyser.
Please be safe this Christmas |

You're well over the limit - the limit for women is one small glass of wine.
It's possible your liver may have processed enough alcohol to bring you back under the limit by 6pm, but I wouldn;t like to chance it if I were you. Best get a cab and collect the car tomorrow. |

Yup, you will unfortunately be over the limit - reason, you are a small person, petite - you will live for a very long time, by the way. Just don't bother with the glass of wine, which will have an alco content of about 12 - 13+%. You can enjoy yourself just as well on a couple of bottles of Coke if you've had your limit of booze for drive.
Here's a link which will help you learn about booze and drive. . .

Any alcohol is over the limit. Even a little impairs your driving. If you kill tonight you really will regret it for ever. Dont drink and drive at all.
Amazed I got two thumbs down for trying to protect lives ! Some drunken answerers on here I guess. Sad. |

Hi, I've used the units calculator below by the NHS, and the total units you drank was 4.4
http://www.units.nhs.uk/unitCalculator.html
The body takes 1 hour to get rid of 1 unit of alcohol so you need to leave it about 5 hours.
Eating a meal usual helps too!

Alcohol usually gets out of your body at the rate of 1 unit every hour if you drink no more i'm sure your fine but drink plenty of fluids to help flush your system and most important EAT that helps more than anything and that is fact
Have a happy christmas |

you might get away with it by then, but is it worth risking it! the police will be out in full force to catch out people like you at this time of the year. |

Try http://www.scooterman.co.uk/areas/guildford/services.htm They come to where you are with a fold up scooter, pack it in your boot and then drive you home for about the same price as a taxi! |

You should be alright, but why not leave it an extra hour to be on the safe side? |

You need to drink water, maybe three pints of it, to dilute the alcohol in your body. You can spread the drinks over an hour and half. Depending on how large the glass of wine was, you were over the limit when you left the pub. |
