Both have the pros and there cons.

America has a lot lower cost of living compared to the UK. America also has very low tax rates, including some states with no sales tax, but has no social system (expensive health care requiring insurance, no benefit system).
The roads are in a bad condition compared to the UK with very little funding on them, Georgia has so many tyres on the edge of the road (which highway sponsors are required to remove not the police)
The weather in America is very extreme, Missouri hit 40C in the summer and -30C in the winter.
Most American states are very poor and this can be very surprising if you didn't expect it.
Public transport is almost non existent and unless you have a car getting around is difficult, people happily drive 120 miles round trip a day.
Guns are very popular, Montana doesn't even require a waiting time, as a result gun crime is very high too (my girlfriend had a gun pulled on her because the petrol station was 4c cheaper than across the road an the man didn't want to queue).
America is a lot less crowded.
America people are more polite, although being asked if I need help ever 5 minutes is annoying.
Areas of America have a very strong belief in the bible and if you are not a regular church goer, min twice a week, then you are ostracized a bit.
The church in some American states dictates what can and what can't be taught in schools.
In America the school is paid by taxes from the surrounding are, the money the school gets and its quality depend on how wealth the community around it is. Rich better schools poor under funded schools.
Wages seem to be double for the type of work, nurse UK average wage £25k - US $56K
Items are a lot cheaper, although it is almost impossible to get good chocolate.

I would say that it’s an experience that everyone needs to do at least once.

UK, i don't like the idea of every1 walking around with guns and having to drive everywhere, which most americans complain about.

sarch_uk
Out of the two I would rather be in the UK, but if I had to choose somewhere other than the UK to live it would be New Zealand...

Definitely UK. We have travelled quite a lot over the past 5 years, including living in several other countries but there is no place like home as they say!

Try Turkey Property. If you live in the UK, a close holiday or investment opportunity worth looking into could be Property in Turkey where over 500.000 UK families have decided to buy Property For Sale in Turkey. Investment property in Turkey whether a turkish villa or apartment is most popular in Belek, Side, Alanya, Antalya or Kemer regions, where letting has been proven as an excellent source of income - if you buy the right Turkish Property.
