Airport in London?

I plan to go to London with ryan air.
And I think London has some airports, and there鈥檙e 3 airports which ryan air arrives.
Where is the closest and farthest airport to London city centre, of 3 airports?

There are five airports servicing London, they are : -

LONDON HEATHROW - Train about half hour to London

GATWICK - Train about half hour [Gatwick Express] to London Victoria

STANSTEAD - Train about 45-50 mins to London

LUTON - a long way off but reasonable, about 1 hr train to London.

CITY of LONDON AIRPORT - Docklands Light Railway - you are already in central London.

Ryanair is much more likely to use either Gatwick, Stanstead or Luton due to the lower landing fees.

There are 5 airports in or near London.
Ryanair flies to three of them:
Gatwick, Luton and Stanstead.
Of these three, Gatwick is the closest to central London.

JANE J
London Heathrow is the closest.
London Gatwick and London Stansted are further away but all have good rail links into the city.

Helking
London Airports are as follows.

Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City Airport.

London City is the slosest to Central London, then probably Heathrow.

JFK
Gatwick is the closest airport which Ryanair fly to.

The closest airport is London City, which is relativlely hard to find flights to.

Heathrow is the next closest. You can find flights to heathrow absolutely no problem.

There are 5 london airports. The nearest to the city is heathrow. I think ryanair goes to luton and stanstead which are not that close to the city.

standard69
nearest is Gatwick.
furtherest is stanstead airport
I do not think Heathrow does the ryan air.

Enjoy.

Gatwick is has probably the best connections to London, trains every 10 mins or so to Victoria Station or with ThanesLink services to waterloo, Kings Cross etc.or regular busses to Victoria coach station.

Stansted has the best variety of flights with Ryan Air (where are you flying from ?) there are good train services from Stansted to Liverpool Street station in London but they don't run all night, there are good bus connection sinto London during the day but less frequent in the early hours of the morning when a lot of Ryan Air flights arrive.

Try and avoid Luton as it's difficult to get to the city from there.

Heathrow does not have any Ryan Air services.

David S
Ryan Air serves Stansted Airport and Luton Airport. Stansted Airport is 42 minutes from London Liverpool Street on the frequent Stansted Express train and Luton Airport (Luton Parkway Station) is 30 minutes away from St Pancras on a frequent First Capital Connect train

Depends where you are coming from.

London has 8 airports, some close and some far away.

City 路 Gatwick 路 Heathrow 路 Luton 路 Stansted 路 Southend 路 Biggin Hill 路 Ashford

The closet obvously being london city, then heathrow then gatwick and stansted about the same.

If you dont want to travel far and want the closet airport expcept for London city, then i recomend heathrow.

KrazyMuddles
Heathrow,
Gatwick,
Stanstead

The Shadow
Actually, London has five airports - Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, and City.

It doesn't really matter which one is closer (it's City, by the way) because all of the London Airports are connected to the city by train, Underground, or, both. It's easy to get into the city. Use whichever one has the most convenient flights.

Ryanair uses Gatwick (Gatwick Express to Victoria Station), Luton (First Capital Connect to St. Pancras Station), and Stansted (Stansted Express to Liverpool St. Station). However, you may find that they serve only one London airport from your city so you won't have a choice. Ryanair does not serve Heathrow or City, so don't worry about those.

RyanAir mostly uses Stansted Airport, which is about an hour and a half or even more from central London. It's a long way.
