definately legoland, a 4 year old won't be allowed on the majority of the rides at alton towers. |

I haven't been to Legoland but I have Alton Towers. I am guessing Legoland because there isn't that much for little kids at Alton Towers.
At least he can go to Alton Towers when he's older but of course he will outgrow Legoland at some point. |

LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND
It is aimed purely at that kind of age group, or perhaps a little higher. Alton Towers on the other hand happens to be the best thrill seeking park in the UK, but that is about all it caters for. Its efforts for the younger children are really not that great.
I am not even sure that Legoland would be a wise decision. It is aimed more at 6-12 year old's. Someone mentioned Gulliver's land, which might we a good place to go. Also consider your small local amusement park and Chesington. |

i think legoland personally because alton towers have bigger rides aimed at older people for example nemsis and air, thats why i think legoland would probally be more better for a 4 year old. i have been to both and they both have suitable ride for younger people but legoland is more based for that age range.
hope this helps
where ever you go have a nice time |

Definately lego land. Alton towers is more for us big kids and theres so much walking and queing, your 4 yr old will get very tired and irritable. |

Legoland has more things to see, there is also a build room where kids can build there own things. then there is the village which is appealing to any age. There is also a kiddies ride area. Alton Towers is more ride orientated with height restrictions |

Lego land is the best we went to Alton Towers with our children 11 and 16 years old and as the above answer said we spent more time standing in queues than we did on the rides. |

Legoland is much better for younger children, my son was 4 when we took him and he loved it. |

Legoland - Alton Towers concentrates more on teens and is so busy. |

legoland is so much more geared up for younger children and so much fun for parents. this is a whole theme park dedicated to the wee ones. where as alton towers has more of an older age group but do have a wee ones area. legoland when kids are young every time. |

Be warned, you can queue for 4 hours or more for a ride at Alton Towers so you judge. |

Out of the two, Legoland; but take a picnic, because the food will cost you almost as much as the entrance fee. Also, if you are considering Legoland, Thorpe Park in Staines isn't very far from Windsor, and they do have quite a lot for young ones, and is probably cheaper than Legoland.
