Good for Mr Livingstone - Bad for ordinary Londoners who have to commute to work just to make a living

Its a great idea.

HOWEVER: I would hold the original estimates for building things as set, and not allow them to go up and up.

Currently, with a very healthy UK building industry, no large construction firms are rushing to get involved with the Olympics 2012! The Wembley Stadium and Dome scenario's are looming, which could mean indecision and extra costs!
Yes, the idea of UK Olympics was great, but perhaps there are too many decision makers on board!

I believe the world will end in year 2012

Luke Warnes
The politicians gave us a "ballpark" figure for the expense..which has now turned into an "Olympic" figure for the taxpayer to find.

If we could organise the proverbially piss up in a brewery then having the Olympics would be great.

Answer to your question, "NO!"

yes. have pride in your country people.

it'll have mega benefits for the economy, travel, tourism. and it's going to find a use for a lot of crap really isn't it (building on worthless land)?

hopefully afterwards they'll be put to good use.

Happy Murcia
Yes of course,,,however it would be a prudent if we asked if we could call it the 2015 games as I doubt the thing will be built in time,,,,,
