IMO no, maybe intrigued. We are all intrigued by the differences, but people from places like Manchester/Leeds got it happening up there, plus they are vibrant and have thier own swagger. So, I wouldn't say they are jealous. |

I don't think the word is jealous. I am originally from Scotland and now live in London. I think that because so much of the population lives in London, it is just assumed on most media such as TV and radio that you know what they are talking about when they mention things going on in London.
England bank holidays aren't necessarilly holidays in Scotland and I always used to hate those smug TV presenters telling me that there was no school on Monday when I knew there was.
A lot of magazines often cite London shops which are not accessible to people who don't live there. Radio presenters go on about how great/bad the weather is, mainly meaning London and surrounding areas.
I think people outside London just feel a little left out and not really invied to the exclusive London "club". |

I think it's the other way round actually - that Londoners are jealous of the fact that up north everyone is nicer to each other - live in much cooler places with their own identity - can afford to buy a house - and have the best football teams. |

are you having a laugh or what don,t be daft Having worked in London and lived on the south coast I would say no way the only thing you have that I could be a little jealous about is that of the west end with all the top shows, but here on Merseyside we have the lot I,m Liverpool born and bred but now I live across the river on The Wirral peninsula and it,s totally delightful not a traffic jam in sight lots of fresh air and everything I need on the doorstep Big Mac
