I'd say more regular than Southerners now you ask.

I'm a Scot living in the South and to be frank, they are all just a wee bit weird (I'm married to one so I'm allowed to say that).

multibite
If your attitude towards Northeners is supposed to be 'regular people' then no we aint regular coz that attitude sucks you great southern wuss

salt of the earth mate they are what Great Britain is all about

ponyspirit44
I'm "Northern" and I'd like to think I'm a "regular" person :) I have an education, a job, a house, a dog... I seem pretty regular to me!

Dry Dreamer
Well that's what they say but I have my doubts

I'm from the North East and proud!! Not Scotland, but NE England and this is possibly the best area in the country. The towns are small and friendly, not quite taken over by Tesco, the people all say hi and goodmorning etc. even when you don't know them, we get snow in the winter and hot summers and in my town you can walk in any direction for about 5 minutes and you can reach a field or park.
I know someone from Sheffield and he always said that the NE was the best area because of that last point!

I live in County Durham

Of course they are! They do tend to be friendlier than people in the South though (in my opinion).

HappyBlonde
Northerners are the best in the country, good humour, know how to have a good time and can drink a southerner under the table. Our hospitality is second to none. :)

I live in Co. Durham but I was born in Coventry. Some ppl up here are horrible but then, some are lovely, same as you would find anywhere, I suppose.

ROFL.....

No, that's what Hadrian's wall is for, to keep the irregular people away from us normal lot (sarcasm, no offence meant).

They are just the same, everywhere in the world, they fall in love, they can hate too, oh and when they bleed it's red just like yours and mine.

I'm Northern and i think i'm quite 'regular' - i mean hey i can afford a computer to go on answers and up to now i've not made a spelling mistake.

I've got a job, wife and kids and even a house that i'm paying for myself - aren't i doing well for myself!

Are Southerners really pompus, plum sucking dimwits?

lol! I'm sorry but your question just made me giggle..

Afraid I don't know many people from the north...I knew one once from Leicester (is that North?)...anyway he was a lovely guy... not 'regular' as such, but really lovely :)

But then i don't believe there is such a thing as 'normal' and 'regular' is just plain boring..

barryboys
Less meedja types with mullets and ironic clothes up north. This is a Good Thing.
