Definitely! I've lived in Birmingham for 7 years now and other places in the UK and all round Europe, and Birmingham is by far the Best and most friendly place i have ever been to.

The Brummies are always willing to give you a hand, and I've never been in a place where the people smile so much. There is such a great atmosphere in Brum which would make anyone feel at home.

I have got the bus to and from Birmingham for at least 2 years now and on every single journey someone has sat next to me and had a chat. Never before has this ever happened to me, and i think it's absolutely fantastic. Even though the city is so big with so many people, there is a real sense of community and its as if i belong here now!

My auntie and cousins live in Birmingham, but I haven't been down there for quite some time. I think Liverpudlians are really friendly, whenever I've been to Liverpool, there are some real nice people, and they speak to you and are really friendly and helpful.

'Er indoors!!
You bet we are!!!!!!!!!

Stoke's pretty cool - the bus drivers wait til you sit down before they move and they chat to you.
In Birmingham I've seen the bus driver pull away while some old dear is still trying to get a seat and rattles around the bus. All you get in the way of chat (I'm talking just buying a ticket, not a full lenght life story job) is a grunt.

Quizard
I'm from near Birmingham but I think the freindliest are from Lancashire, especially on the coast.

Angel
No, the friendliest people in England are from Lancashire

Worst accent, I know that much!! sends me asleep! zzzzzzzzz

Okay just to clear up what some loser has said. The Birmingham accent is fine, there is nothing wrong with it. My mum lived in Birmingham, and a lot of my family live there now. They are really friendly, i'm not sure if they're the friendliest, but i'm sure they're real close to the top.
