Only try North Wales if you are tired of living!

I live in Manchester and on Saturday I drove to Bridlington on the east coast. Less than 100 miles and it has beautiful, clean beach with lots of space. Heaps to do especially for kids and it's a really pretty drive.

Try Blackpool

The Gower Peninsula ( not far from Swansea ) has some of the most beautiful sandy coves in Wales.

you could try new brighton, west kirby on the wirral or if you want to go to wales theres always prestatyn or any of the beaches along the coast.

there are loads of beaches around Wales from Barry to Rhyl, the gower peninsular is probably the best area to go.

i live in sale.

my top recomedations from manc are...

treaddur bay on holy island hollyhead anglesey
nefyn, near pwllheli/abersoch , lleyn peninsular, north wales
harlech near porthmadog north wales (visit the castle)
barmouth (and anywhere between barmouth and harlech)
a bit further is porth oer (whistling sands) this is further down lleyn peninsular but is a superb sheltered beach.
benllech on northeast coast of anglesey.
rhosneigr on west anglesey
and for the best sunsets ive seen llanwyddyn island (a tidal causeway) amazing beach on the south west tip of anglesey.

travel to anglesey and north wales is much better since the construction of the a55. its dual carriageway all the way to hollyhead now. also a lot of work has recently been done on the road between porthmadog and pwllheli.

for further details contact me.

have a good time

There are plenty of gorgeous beaches in the north west! Try Formby (just near Southport). It has a wonderful beach which stretches for miles and there is a fantastic nature reserve there where you can see red squirrels and the rare natterjack toad. Further up the coast, there are miles and miles of unspoiled sand for your kids to play on! Enjoy.

There are some absolutely stunning beaches on Anglesey.
Caernarfon is gorgeous too but quiet.

There aren't many nice sandy beaches in north west England I'm afraid. In Wales, there are plenty. Avoid Rhyl. Drive a little further to Anglesey or the Lleyn Peninsula. It's beautiful there.

Blackpool is OK you also have Ryhl in Wales, thats quite nice.
I think Blackpool has more for families to do though, there are alot of family bars on the peirs and they stay open quite late to.
Hope this helps!!!

Sea beach in Puri town in Orissa state in India is one of the most beautiful and natural sandy beaches in the world. No artificiality-no pretentious .
