Littlehampton. Direct service from Brighton or Hove Station running reguarly during the day (Catch it from Hove its quicker)
In the other direction, Pevensey, Hastings area and again from Brighton, train to Eastbourne and change for the Hastings service.
Busses will tkae a lot longer and more changes. |

There is no sandy beaches in Bognor, a little outside Bognor yes..but not on the town front itself..Littlehampton is quite a distance to travel, although it is very pretty there. Shoreham by sea10 min drive. |

Hi!
The nearest sandy beach is probably south of Rye in East Sussex and to the east of there, there are sandy beaches stretching well into the county of Kent.
These beaches are officially clean too!

Probably Littlehampton or maybe Goring-By-Sea (near Worthing). You can get to both on the South Coast line towards Portsmouth Harbour. Change at Ford or Worthing for Littlehampton services. |

Who needs sand for Brighton Beach.
Getting in and out of Brighton in summer time is bad enough but to go to Camber Sands, at least 1 1/2 Hours away is silly.
I suggest that you go to the Beach just before Hove lagoon,
Brighton side, and wait for the tide to go out, and you will see 50 yds of sand.
Take your bucket and spade, build your sand castle and then see it being washed away when the tide comes in.
Have fun |

Ah - there is a *lovely* secluded sandy beach about 3/4 hour from Brighton - but I am sorry - I'm not going to tell you where it is because it is far too nice and I don't want the hoards to descend . . . . :-P |
