go to the island of mull.Acampsite called fidden farm.Catch the ferry from Oban,turn left and do not stop until you can see the ferry for IONA,turnleft past the information centre 2miles on there it is.We travel the world but have never seen whiter beaches.this is the ultimate,peaceful retreat in the world

theres a campsite on the western shore of loch ness close to invermorriston i think which is fabulous. think it cost around £14 a pitch but the view is simply outstanding and theres a pub and restaurant on site. the loch is only bout 2 yds from ur tent and in the morning u may get woken by a few air force jets screaming down the loch but its an awesome site to see. but i have to agree with a previous answer about the isle of mull. even though u gotta pay the ferry over its worth every penny. its a beautiful island as are all the scottish islands
