best = Sainsbury's
Worst = Lidl

Best waitrose and 'fresh & wild' if you are luck to have one close by..both have good quality foods and excellent customer service.
Also the local farmers markets, good local butchers etc.
I grow my own too, the best.

Worst has to be Tesco's (low quality food, rubbish service, they sell lots of 'junk' foods and top of the line ranges are very expensive).
Then next worst Morrisons then Sansburys and Asda.

Lidel and Aldi are fun.
Co-Op fair
Sumerfield fair.

Tesco's and Asda (wall mart) only care about max profit for shareholders. Hence people with morals don't use them.

Did you know that in America, when wall mart open a new store in a small town, the property prices fall. because the local shops will be closed down within six months. A small town with all the shops boarded up looks ugly.

I'm with Ben - best Aldi
Worst Tesco - the supermarket that is eating Britain.

A pale imitation of The Dame
Best is Waitrose.. Worst is Sainsbury's.. I think the owner of Sainsbury's just want to get shot of it now.. their stuff is awful quality, their buyers must not do any taste testing what so ever and everytime I've been into one of their stores, the shelves are all half empty.. apalling.

Tesco is the absolute pits, their blanket allergy warnings regarding nuts (and only nuts) mean I cannot buy a single Tesco own brand product, and they are slowly and steadily discontinuing any branded products from their stores. In the last few months they have removed I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Kraft cheese slices, Total 0% Greek Yoghurt, any packaged cold meats that are not Tesco own brand, Chicago Town pizzas, oh I could go on - and replaced them all with Tesco own s.h.i.t.e. I wouldn't bother but they have such a stranglehold on suppliers with their virtual monopoly that if this continues I won't be able to buy ANY food as all the suppliers will work to Tesco shoddy hygeine standards and not give a damn whether they are liable to cross contamination at all - just slap a label on it and stick it on the shelves. I loathe them.

Opposite side of the coin - M&S - love them - I can spend £100 in M&S and have meals for a fortnight. I can spend £100 in Tesco or Asda and not have enough to make one!

Oops - sorry for the rant :o))))

Hard to choose.

I'd say the best are Waitrose, Marks and Spencers Food Stores and I think Aldi is pretty good too.

I go to both Tesco & Asda now and again, they are both close by. I hate myself for doing so much shopping there instead of local traders (something I am trying to change.)

Some things in Lidl's are ok but I don't shop there weekly just once in a while (they do have some good stuff). Nettos is ok if you have a decent store nearby.

Morrisons are getting better in my opinion, popped into a local store the other day and they had loads of things cheaper than asda.

Worst for me has to be Co-op, Somerfield & Iceland.

They all suck.

Morrissons is probably best - reasaonable prices, kinda bland

COOP (Tavistock) is probably worst - Empty shelves, offers on crap only while everything else is full whack, Stale bread, stupid ignorant and indifferent, poorly trained staff. Long wait at incompetent checkout. Old grey meat on display at full price. The checkout staff must be forced into saying thank you, I get the feeling that they hate their customers.( I might think of more things yet, that made my last trip down there so unsatisfactory)

Since I mostly only buy organic food and am also very fussy about quality, the best are Waitrose and Marks & Spencer;
the worst is Tesco which pretends to be cheap and isn't.

Best - Waitrose

Best Tesco and the worst well its got to beeeeeeeeee Asda

QI
Hard question! I go to different ones for different reasons. And these are my own personal feelings as they relate to my local stores.

Best:
Tesco is good for variety
Sainsbury's has fresh produce
Marks & Spencer for something "special"
Morrisons has fresh seafood
Aldis for something different/foreign

Worst:
Asda because they don't care about the people in the community where their store is located

i like sainsburys, you get a wide range of foreign cuisine in there
my next choice is lidl cheap varieties if your short of money
but i love my baked bread from morrisons, i get soda bread there.

worse ones are post offices that now sell groceries, no choice, and top prices would you pay 99p for a tin of chicken soup!!, i wouldnt and i dont,
